Restor8iv Skills – Decorative Wooden Bowls - 27 October 2026

Join us for a full day of skill-building as part of our Restor8iv Skills series — monthly workshops designed to expand your restoration and upcycling toolkit.

Creating design on a curved surface poses a number of challenges. In this workshop, we'll learn how to overcome these challenges, through careful use of design, pattern choice and paint techniques, as well as ensuring they remain food safe (if that is an intended end purpose). We'll explore geometric design, test out free hand pattern techniques and create our own repeatable pattern templates, before applying our final design to create a beautiful bowl to take home. 

What to bring:
 - If you have a wooden bowl that you would like to decorate, please bring it along. 
 - Clothing you don’t mind getting a little messy.
 - Lunch

What’s provided:
 - All paints, brushes, and specialist products, as well as a range of stencils, tapes. A range of second hand wooden bowls will also be available. 
 - Teas, coffees, cakes & biscuits.
 - Expert tuition in a friendly, supportive environment
